Eye Gaze

Eye gaze or eye tracking is a way of accessing your computer or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device using your eyes. Our eye tracking systems follow your eyes with amazing accuracy to see where you are looking on the screen. You can then select the item you are looking at by dwelling (staring at the screen for a length of time), blinking, or clicking with a switch. Eye gaze can benefit both children and adults with limited use of their hands.

We recommend watching Journey Into Eye Gaze for Communication found under the ASHA CEU courses. This course is for Speech Language Pathologists who want to earn CEUs, but also for anyone who wants to learn more about using eye gaze for communication. You can also go back to the eye gaze category found on the homepage to explore additional eLearning courses, recorded webinars, video clips, and more. We add new content regularly, so please keep checking back.
