This course, Overview of Communicator 5 For Emergent, Symbolic, and Literate Communicators, will be retired on October 26. We will be adding an updated course to the Learning Hub on October 26 with a new name "Communicator 5 for Successful Communication".
You will not have access to this course after October 26. Your progress will not be saved and ASHA CEUs will not be awarded if the course is not completed by October 26. If you would like to earn ASHA CEUs for this course, please complete the course before October 26.
In this course, we review the communication abilities of emergent, symbolic, and literate users. Participants will discover the supports and opportunities that the Communicator 5 software offers for each communication level. We will then explore how to create customized user profiles that allow access to relevant page sets to support all communication abilities. (This course applies to i12+ or i15+.)
- Create at least one communication user profile in Communicator 5
- Add two supporting page sets to a communication user profile in Communicator 5
- List one tool that supports greater independence in daily living activities
